After the Samsung SGH-i300, this is Samsung’s first standard candy bar 12-keys phone pad smartphone and therefore it might find its own audience since not everybody want to have BlackBerry kind of device these days.

Feature-wise, the SGH-i200 is quite comparable to the SGH-i620/SGH-i640 by featuring triband GSM/GPRS/EDGE, singleband UMTS/HSDPA and Bluetooth 2.0+EDR. But, then again, Opera’s consistently rolled out innovative mobile browsers so we’re sure they’re on their game with 9.5.

Merlin_reloaded and g77 over at XDA-developers forums has put together an easy solution to change the fonts on your Windows Mobile 5.0 PocketPC and Windows Mobile 6.0 Professional (and possibly some WinMo Smartphone devices as well) handset. The font-changing procedure is as easy as downloading the .cab file of your choosing (there’s one each for Myriad, Calibri, or Segeo UI) and installing it on your smartphone. China Mobile to join Vodafone-Verizon LTE trialsChina Mobile to join Vodafone-Verizon LTE trials. China Mobile announced today that it is set to join LTE (Long Term Evolution) trials already being carried out by Vodafone and Verizon Wireless, a joint venture of Verizon Communications and Vodafone. The three mobile operators will focus on LTE FDD (the Frequency Division Duplex version of LTE) for use with paired spectrum allocations and TD-LTE (the Time Division Duplex version of LTE) as an evolution of current TD-SCDMA technology to enable the exploitation of unpaired spectrum globally.

We don’t know now the exact list of games the company will release in the coming months, but we are certain they have the required expertise. As a matter of fact, aside from developing games for touch-enabled Nintendo DS, they have more than 15 “touchscreen mobile titles” in catalogue — including Block Breaker Deluxe, Brain Challenge, Bubble Bash, Platinum Solitaire, Chessmaster, Miami Nights: Single in the City, Paris Hilton’s Diamond Quest, Sexy Poker Manga, Catchphrase, Deal or No Deal, Shrek the Third, Real Football: Manager Edition, and CSI Miami.

At the Game Developers Conference in San Francisco, chip-designer ARM has announced an update to their graphics acceleration software. The ARM Mali-JSR297 software is said to be the “first product to enable developers of Java applications to take advantage of the latest hardware graphics features found in recent GPUs”.
