Android handsets to be offered by China Mobile? According to industry sources in Taiwan, China Mobile may be offering Android-powered handsets through cooperation with HTC.
China Mobile, among mobile telecom carriers in China, is the only one to join the Open Handset Alliance (OHA), the sources pointed out. In addition, China Mobile and Google, Marvell, China-based software developer Borqs International formed a technology alliance in September 2007 to promote a Linux-based open mobile system (OMS), integrating mobile applications specifically for the China market, the sources indicated.
As an alternative, China Mobile may seek cooperation from HTC to offer an Android handset first by the end of 2008 before offering OMS handsets, with the Android handset possibly to support China’s TD-SCDMA 3G standard, the sources pointed out.

Motorola Moto Yuva A810. A new Motorola touchscreen phone, Yuva A810, will be available for Rs 8,000 in India next month. The mobile phone comes with a 2.2-inch touch-screen, handwriting recognition and a host of other multimedia features. Motorola has also customised the phone for the Indian market with features like SMS in Hinglish, a large phone book that stores 500 entries and ability to store 750 SMSes.

Sony Ericsson GreenHeart concept phone. Sony Ericsson recently announced their GreenHeart concept phone that’s not designed for production. The GreenHeart is a full concept with all life cycle in mind it includes features such as bio-plastic housings, recycled plastic keypads, zero charger with 3.5mW standby power, HTML based e-manuals, a game style educational application ‘Ecomate’ and environmentally conscious packaging.
With the GreenHeart concept, Sony Ericsson is looking to the future, to ensure the full life cycle of a mobile phone can be made more environmentally friendly.

Porsche P9522 is expected to be around 600 EUR and it should start shipping next month in France.

Mail for Exchange 2.7 for S60 3rd edition. A new version of Mail for Exchange, version 2.7 has been released by Nokia. The application now works with all Symbian S60 3rd edition devices. It updates the mapping of data fields in Contacts between the server and the device. There’s also Exchange Server 2007 Autodiscover feature. Mail for Exchange enables features such as Autodiscover, which drastically simplifies the set-up process by requiring the email account holder to only enter their email address, password, domain and usernames. SanDisk announced it is bringing to market its 16GB microSDHC and Memory Stick Micro (M2) mobile memory cards - the world’s largest removable storage capacity for mobile phones.
