Philips C702 X806 touchscreen phones for China

Two new touchscreen phones by Philips will be released for Chinese market, they’re C702 and X806. Philips C702 is a CDMA 1X device coming with a 3.4-inch QVGA screen, a 1.3 megapixel camera, GPS, Bluetooth, 70MB internal memory, microSD memory cards. MetroPCS has launched a new candybar phone called Motorola VE440. The handset comes with a 1.3 megapixel camera, tri-band CDMA connectivity (800/1700/1900 MHz) with 1x data, Bluetooth, MP3 player, GPS, dedicated music control keys, up to 8GB microSD expansion slot, a standard 3.5mm headset jack, and MetroPCS’ chatLINK service. The mobile phone costs $129.

nüvifone G60 for AT&T announced

nuvifone G60 for ATT announcedA new Linux phone by Garmin has been announced by AT&T. The G60 nüvifone comes with Linux OS, 272×480 WQVGA touchscreen, 3 megapixel camera with autofocus, 2.5 mm headphone jack, GPS navigation and services.

The nüvifone G60 will be available in AT&T stores or at www.wireless.att.com on October 4 for $299 with a two year service agreement after $100 mail-in-rebate. Nüvifone Premium Connected Services which includes traffic updates, white pages, weather, movie, local events and fuel price content are available for $5.99/month after a 30-day trial.

LG has announced LG Wine 3. The cellphone features a circular 1.77 inch external display, large keypad, shortcut keys, FM radio and GPS-based SOS alerts. It also comes with a leather case. LG Wine 3 will be available soon in South Korea in four color versions: Black/Gold, White, Pink and Titan. No word on price.

Nokia N97 mini has been spotted at the FCC with a quad-band 3G radio, meaning you’ll be able to use it both in the U.S. and Europe. The device comes with both 900/2100MHz and 850/1900 MHz, used in Europe/Asia and North America, respectively.

Palm webOS 12 released

Palm has released webOS 1.2 and its support for premium webOS apps. webOS 1.2 supports direct downloading from the web. Songs can now be purchased from Amazon MP3 over a phone network connection. A Wi-Fi connection is no longer required. There are other features. You can go on reading it and download the new webOS on Palm’s website.
