Nokia to stop N-Gage in September 2010Nokia has announced that the N-Gage gaming service will be shut down in less than a year. Games will now be sold through the Ovi Store. The N-Gage.com site will remain in operation throughout 2010, with the exception of the N-Gage Store which will remain open until the end of September 2010.

N-Gage games can be purchased until the end of September 2010. While the N-Gage.com site together with the N-Gage Arena and other community features will remain in operation throughout 2010, the Ovi Store will be the new central place for all the mobile games that Nokia and other publishers offer from this point forward. We will no longer publish new games for the N-Gage platform.

Telus has released a new touchscreen phone, the LG Versa. The handset comes with a 3-inch touchscreen, LG’s 3D S-Class UI, a 2.0 megapixel camera with autofocus, flash and video capabilities, microSD card up to 16GB, stereo Bluetooth, MP3 player. The device costs $79.99 on a 3-year contract, $179.99 on 2-year, $229.99 on 1-year, and $279.99 sans any contracts via Telus.

Fujitsu and Qualcomm join Symbian FoundationSymbian Foundation gets two new members to its board of directors, they’re Qualcomm and Fujitsu. Fujitsu joins wireless carriers AT&T, Vodafone, NTT DOCOMO, silicon providers ST Microelectronics NV and Texas Instruments, and handset manufacturers Samsung, Sony Ericsson, and Nokia as an Appointing OEM Member on the Symbian Foundation board. Qualcomm joined the Symbian Foundation through its wholly owned subsidiary Qualcomm Innovation Center (QuIC), which will have the role of “optimizing open source software for use with Qualcomm technology.

Orange and Google sign pan-European mobile partnership agreement

Orange has announced an industry-first as it becomes the first operator to partner with Google to bring Google Mobile App to mobile customers in Europe. The multi-year strategic agreement, combining the best in content and search innovation from both partners, is making mobile search and geo-location services even more accessible by giving customers one-click access to Google Mobile App via the Orange homescreen. The application provides enhanced search features and access to the Orange mobile portal and other familiar Google products and services.

From October, the Orange Signature Android series, including LG Eve (France, Spain), HTC Tattoo (France, UK, Spain) and HTC Hero (France) will also feature specially designed services like the Orange Email Wizard which lets users set up and use their chosen mobile email services – including Google Mail – in one easy-to-manage place. Google Mobile App will later be made available across a wider range of Orange Signature devices operating on Symbian S60, RIM (BlackBerry) and Microsoft’s Windows Mobile. On these platforms the application will include links to services like Orange mobile portal, Google News, Google Maps and Google Mail, giving Orange Signature customers even greater access to content and tools that are useful in daily life. Together with the new services, Orange customers can continue to browse and download mobile applications that are personal and relevant to them, for example, from the Orange Application Shop.

NBA Live basketball game features all 30 NBA teams, players with photos, and accurate statistics. Player models and animations are pretty detailed. The iPhone game has several play modes—Exhibition, Season and Playoff. Each mode in NBA Live 10 provides 3 levels of gameplay difficulty (Rookie, Veteran, All-Star).
