Vertu ASCENT X Passes FCC
Nokia's Vertu ASCENT X gets an FCC approval. The mobile phone comes with a 2-inch QVGA display, 5MP camera with auto-focus and LED flash (which is first in a Vertu handset), HSPA connectivity, A-GPS, 32GB of internal memory, Bluetooth and an email client. It has quad-band GSM (850/ 900/ 1800/ 1900 MHz) and quad-band UMTS/HSUPA (800 / 850 / 1900 / 2100 MHz) connectivity. No word on release date nor price of Vertu Ascent X yet. Stay tuned.

Vertu ASCENT X is the extension to the Ascent product collection delivering the most extreme styling with enduring finishes yet, coupled with the traditions of an Ascent handset – strength, power & performance. ASCENT X is a Dual mode WCDMA Quad band (2100/ 1900/ 850/ 800 MHz) & GSM Quad band (850/ 900/ 1800/ 1900 MHz) phone. The phone supports HSDPA/HSUPA for High Speed upload and downloads and is equipped with A-GPS positioning technology. The phone also has: 5 mega-pixel continuous autofocus camera with integrated LED flash. 32GB of onboard user memory. Auto Dual time clock update and City Briefs. Email support via SMTP/POP3/IMAP4 email client. 2” QVGA 16 million TFT color display. Torch, utilising the LED camera flash. Bluetooth Technology version 2.0 + EDR.
