Now that Froyo is coming to the Dell Streak, I will seriously consider it as my main mobile. I think the Streak will be outstanding with the update and many more will consider it.

Even with 1.6 the Dell Streak which I own and use as my sole mobile is excellent once you add yourself the best apps, widgets & games. However until it gets froyo, I think it's being largely ignored by tens of thousands of ultimate gadget freaks like me. The 5" screen is just amazing - there is nothing which can touch it, but it's hardly going to impress potential buyers who only look at the specs on paper when they see such an ancient version of android. Dell will recoup the cost of getting froyo onto it with bells on in vastly increased sales. There is, however, no time to waste.
Everyone who has seen my Streak and has been shown what I can do with it wants one, I mean *really* wants one. Sadly Dell don't have the foggiest idea how to market it. The correct strategies for selling PC's & mobile telephony devices are worlds apart. A bit more visible enthusiasm & commitment on Dell's part is not going to do any harm.
The Streak is an excellent device just with 1.6, but without 2.2 installed on it it will be nearly impossible for it to reach it's true sales potential.
