OtterBox has announced that the Defender Series and Commuter Series cases for the iPod touch 4th generation, are now available in multiple color options. Sticking to the adage that form follows function, the new cases will provide the same level of protection expected of OtterBox with the added bonus of color options.
“The two OtterBox series available for the iPod touch 4th generation offer varying levels of protection for different lifestyles,” OtterBox founder and CEO Curt Richardson said. “The color options allow for even more customization.”
The Defender Series case offers three layers of rugged protection. A built-in screen protector keeps the large screen pristine while a polycarbonate shell encases the device. The shell is topped off with tough silicone wrap that includes plugs to protect the ports from dust and debris. Reversing the Defender Series construction, the Commuter Series packages protection in a sleek design. A silicone skin hugs the device and covers the ports and a sturdy polycarbonate shell finishes the case to provide protection from bumps and shocks.
