Adobe Flash Player 11, AIR 3 introduced, 3D games-friendly

Adobe Flash Player 11 and AIR 3 has officially been announced, to be launching in early October. Both will come with 3D Games support. According to the company, the new releases intro the next generation of the technologies that deliver stunning content and apps to over a billion people — across screens including Android, iPhone, iPad, BlackBerry PlayBook, Windows, Mac, and connected TV devices.

Flash Player 11 and AIR 3 offer a large number of new features including: 2D/3D Support (Stage 3D, a new architecture for hardware accelerated 2D/3D graphics rendering delivers 1000x faster rendering performance over Flash Player 10), AIR Native Extensions, Captive Runtime, Content Protection, HD Video Quality Across Platforms (H.264 hardware decoding, 7.1 channel surround sound support), also Rental and Subscriptions Support.
