LG patents flexible capacitive stylus that can be worn on your arm like a smartwatch
A new patent application for a flexible stylus has recently been filed by LG with the USPTO. The patent describes it as a flexible capacitive stylus that can be worn on your arm like a watch with functionalities of a smart watch. This smart stylus could be a very remarkable evolution of the Life Band Touch activity tracker wristband from the Korean company. It also has a touchscreen which can be used to relay information from a connected mobile device (smartphone or tablet?) or can even control certain aspects of paired device.

It's unclear, however, whether or whenever the company will launch it. As we already know, when it comes to patent applications, there's also the possibility that no commercial product will ever result from a patent. As far as we guess, it could just have been an interesting project for an R&D division, and nothing more? However, we would love to see the device announced along with new flagship phone/tablet which could use a dedicated stylus for some drawing applications. The invention is a pretty innovative one, considering that a capacitive stylus could be easy to lose and if they are stored inside of mobile devices, can make the devices more bulky than they need be. What do you think?
