Auto-Rotation (portrait <-> landscape) for T-Mobile G1 coming soon? Yes, when you slide out the keyboard, the G1 screen orientation already changes from portrait to landscape. However, the screen won’t rotate automatically when turned to the side, even though an accelerometer is on board that makes this feature possible. Good news for HTC Android G1 users, A hack is already in the works.. that will rotate the screen for you! In the video below, you’ll notice that when the device is turned, the screen automatically turns. This feature is claimed to be a part of the SDK and developers merely need to unlock this feature for their app.
