LG Cookie Fresh comes with a 3-inch WQVGA touchscreen, 2MP camera, EDGE data, Bluetooth, FM radio, microSD memory card slot, and 3.5mm headset jack.
LG Cookie Fresh GS290 will be available later this month in various color versions.
LG plans to sell the mobile phone in more than 50 countries by the end of the year.
No word on pricing.
Samsung and U.S. Cellular have announced a new candy-bar shaped mobile phone, the Freeform.
Samsung Freeform comes with full QWERTY keyboard, a 2.2-inch display, 1.3 megapixel camera, stereo bluetooth, threaded text messaging, music player, expandable memory up to 16GB, dedicated speakerphone, text messaging, calendar buttons, and so on.

LG GW620 has been launched in Italy as LG LinkMe. The Android smartphone sells under the InTouch Max brand in the UK.
Specifications are the same, coming with a full 5-row QWERTY keyboard, a 3-inch HVGA resistive touchscreen, Android 1.5 OS, 5MP camera with flash, A-GPS, HSPA, WiFi, Bluetooth, 3.5mm headset jack, and a microSD expansion slot (1GB card comes in the box).
LG LinkMe costs 299 EUR (about $405).
