Nokia N96 + BBC iPlayer. BBC have announced iPlayer support for Nokia N96. Nokia N96 users will be the first with the ability to both to download and stream programmes from the service. Interestingly, it will be able to use both 3G and WiFi. The BBC iPlayer application is also available to download via bbc.co.uk/mobile.

Pantech IM-S350 for Korea. A new slider phone called IM-S350 has been announced by Pantech in South Korea. The mobile phone looks fashionable with parts of its body are made of aluminum. The 9.9 mm thin handset features a 2 megapixel camera, HSDPA data, built-in DMB TV tuner, media player, Bluetooth and memory card slot.

MediaFLO USA Expanded Live News Coverage. The expansion of news coverage to include three new 24/7 news channels to mobile TV service: CNBC, MSNBC, and FOX News has been announced by MediaFLO USA. The new channels will be available to AT&T and Verizon Wireless subscribers and will launch in time for the political party convention season. MediaFLO USA’s mobile TV service is available to AT&T subscribers as AT&T Mobile TV and to Verizon Wireless customers as V CAST Mobile TV.

MGM + Vodafone Germany. Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer has announced its first major agreement with Vodafone in Germany. MGM Channel, which is currently available to pay television subscribers all across German-speaking Europe, will now also be available to mobile subscribers through Vodafone. The MGM Channel is available on the 3G Vodafone Live! network in Germany, offering movies from the Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer film library - including films from the Pink Panther and Rocky franchises, as well as The Thomas Crown Affair, Terminator, Man in the Iron Mask and Robocop, among many others.
Vodafone Live! reaches about six million customers with video capable handsets, and currently offer over 40 channels, in addition to an EPG for all mobile TV channels, and free TV reminders over SMS.
