Ringback Buddies on Verizon. A new Facebook application called Ringback Buddies has been launched by Verizon Wireless that allows customers to browse, purchase and manage their ringback tones and jukeboxes while on the site. The application is free, but individual ringback tones costs $1.99 per year, while using ringback tones will costs you 99-cent per month. In case you’re interested, You can download the app by searching “ringback” on Facebook to find and install the application, then click on the “music” tab under “Featured Applications” on Verizon’s Facebook Page to access Ringback Buddies.

Samsung Beatb and Beats announced. Two new music phones have been announced by Samsung, Beatb and Beats. Both handsets sport tri-band GSM, 3.5 mm jacks, microSD support, stereo bluetooth, and FM radio. Both handsets use Samsung’s Digital Natural Sound engine with Auto EQ to enhance audio quality. Interestingly, Both come preloaded with Shazam, an impressively accurate song identification application, and utilize Samsung’s “Motion Play” feature for gesture based music control.
Samsung Beatb is expected to be available later this month, and the Beats coming next month.
Snow Patrol Interactive Album via AppStore. According to Music Week, Snow Patrol will be releasing an “interactive album,” complete with music, videos through an iPhone application. It will also enable fans to access a raft of extra content including artwork, behind-the-scenes images and lyrics via the touch screen of their Apple iPhones and iPod Touchs. Entitled A Hundred Million Suns, the new album is Snow Patrol’s third for Fiction/Polydor, which has sold 3.7m copies of the band’s past two studio albums in the UK alone.

PlayNow Arena by Sony Ericsson. ‘PlayNow Arena’ portal for mobile music and gaming will be launched by Sony Ericsson in Europe. The service will include 1mn tracks from Sony BMG, Warner, and EMI. The service will first be rolled out in the Nordic countries.
All tracks will be DRM free, or without digital rights management, meaning users can move the files around between devices and convert them an unlimited number of times. The site will expand to other European countries later this year and be global in 2009, ultimately selling five million tracks.
Vodafone Music in UK. Vodafone has just launched music download store for the UK market. It will allow users to preview a 30 second clip before opting to purchase. Singles will retail at £0.99 per download, amd Albums will sell for 7.99 pounds. As to what will happen with MusicStation, it is somewhat different, Currently users pay 1.99 pounds per week and can download an unlimited number of songs. LG KP265 Music Slider for Russia. A new LG music phone was just announced for low-end market in Russia. LG KP265 is a basic phone with pre-installed music player. There’s nothing special about the phone, It offers very basic features in the phone department, but has full multimedia capabilities as far as music is concerned. This music slider features a 1.3 megapixel camera, 262K color TFT screen, and a microSD slot.
