Going forward, through September 20, the Electric Blue and all other Palm Centro purchases will require just $69.99 with a 2-year contract and also a mail-in rebate.

Palm Treo 800w will be available from Sprint for a $349.99 with 2-year contract and $100 mail-in rebate, or $424.00 with a 1-year contract and $100 rebate. Sprint has started accepting pre-orders for the device through its Telesales system (877-639-8351).

This should be a good alternative for the other two versions of AT&T Palm Centro in “glacier white” and “obsidian black.” Yeah, we agree that more options are better for customers so this eye-catching blue color seems to target younger audiences. This exclusive new Centro color will be available starting this Friday in AT&T retail stores, or online at www.att.com and www.palm.com/centro.
Windows Mobile 6 for Palm Treo 700wx. We’ve recently heard that Windows Mobile 6.0 AKU 4.2 ROM is compatible with Palm Treo 700wx handsets. This should be a good news for people who’re having Treo 700wx on Verizon, Alltel, and Sprint’s networks. Before you grab it, please note that SDHC apparently doesn’t work at this point, however it may not bother most of Windows Mobile fans. For Verizon customers, while waiting for the ‘official’ Windows Mobile 6 ROM in 2H 2008, you can use this ROM too.

Following on previous Sprint Treo 800w Release Date and details, the previous rumor said that July 22 is the expected launch window for the Palm Treo 800w, And now we hear a scanned inventory sheet for Sprint was posted at HowardForums confirmed that the handset will drop on July 13, not July 22. Sprint Treo 800w will also sport a button on top of the device to toggle WiFi on/off. For business customers, they can expect to get their hands on the new hotness from Palm starting July 9. Firmware Updates for Palm Treo 700wx, Sprint Centro, Verizon Treo 755p. Following on the last report, Alltel Treo 755p ROM update, According to TreoCentral, there will be firmware updates for the Palm Treo 700wx, Sprint Centro, and the Verizon Treo 755p this spring and summer.
+ Palm Treo 700wx will get the Windows Mobile 6 Professional update. The upgrade will be available on Palm’s support website for Treo 700wx owners only (Treo 700w won’t work). Once the update is installed, customers will not be able to revert back to Windows Mobile 5.0. It will not work on the Verizon Treo 700w.
