This is a radio ROM update to fix a phone reset issue that occurs under certain specific and rare conditions. The Palm Treo 700p’s v1.11 ROM can only be applied to handsets that are already running the v1.10 ROM. In case your Palm smartphone is still sporting v1.06 ROM. You have to upgrade to 1.10 ROM before applying this new v1.11 ROM update.

The enhancements to the EV-DO Rev. A network — which stands for Evolution-Data Optimized Revision A — took nearly two years, and entailed installing the most advanced hardware and software on thousands of cell sites in the Verizon Wireless network in Florida, as well as updating and optimizing technology in five Verizon Wireless regional network switching facilities throughout the state. At this time, Visual Voice Mail application will only be distributed on a revamped version of the popular Verizon LG Voyager Refresh. No words on other supported handsets, but they’re expected to support it as well.

Visual Voice Mail (VVM) is an application that allows subscribers to view caller and voice mail information and listen to voice mail messages in any order on their wireless device. The cellphone features a 1.3 megapixel camera, Bluetooth, and a microSD slot. Verizon Blitz will have also VCAST Music support, VZ Navigator.

Verizon Blitz aka Pantech UTStarcom TXT8010 will be available on August 8th through Wal-Mart, followed by Best Buy on September 28th.

A network, and a slimmer profile. Casio G’zOne Boulder for Verizon is available in black/silver for $129.99 after 2-year contract and online discounts, you can also get it for $179.99 at your local Verizon store. It seems the Black-and-Orange edition will be available in the near future too.
