KDDI Portable Viewer System - electronic paper (e-paper) display. KDDI R&D Laboratories Inc prototyped the “Portable Viewer System,” which wirelessly transmits an image stored in a mobile phone and displays it on a 13.1-inch color electronic paper display. “This is the first electronic paper that displays images stored in a mobile phone,” the company said. It can render 4,096 colors and take about 12 seconds for the display to redraw the entire image on the screen.
