Mobile TeleSystems OJSC (”MTS”), Microsoft, and Fujitsu Siemens announced the launch of the first integrated 3G notebook solution in the CIS. The companies collaborated to deliver a 3G-enabled Fujitsu Siemens notebook running on the Microsoft Vista operating system with an embedded SIM card and a special data tariff plan from MTS. Sony Ericsson TM506 Bella on FCC. A new T-Mobile 3G handset just appeared on FCC, it’s a new T-Mobile Sony Ericsson Bella TM506. This device sports dual-band 3G (UMTS/HSDPA) frequencies - specifically, the 1700Mhz and 2100Mhz bands that T-Mobile’s AWS 3G network requires. Apple iPhone 3G for Russia by the end of 2008. According to Moscow Times, Apple will be bringing the Apple iPhone 3G to Russia this year. Mobile TeleSystems and MegaFon, two of Russia’s largest wireless carriers, have confirmed talks with Apple to offer the highly sought-after iPhone. VimpelCom (Russia’s second-largest network) has also been rumored to make a bid to carry the iPhone as the network moves to switch on its 3G network in Russia this year.

AT&T’s 3G Mobile Broadband Network Download Speeds Increase Up to 1.7 Mbps. AT&T announced a more than 20 percent increase to the top end of the company’s typical 3G network downlink speed range and a 50 percent increase to the top end of the typical uplink speed range for wireless laptop card customers(1). The upgrades are results of recent network enhancements, including the deployment of High Speed Uplink Packet Access (HSUPA) technology across all existing 3G markets before the end of June. Free 3G Phones from China Mobile for Beijing Olympics Organizing Committee. China Mobile is giving away free 15,000 units of 3G phones to members of the Beijing Olympics Organizing Committee. Wang Jianzhou, CEO of China Mobile (CHL), said at a press conference that the company now had a trial TD-SCDMA network up and running in eight cities, Beijing, Shanghai, Tianjin, Shenyang, Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Xiamen and Qinhuangdao. T-Mobile Nokia 3555 3G Clamshell. Nokia 3555 3G phone is available on the T-Mobile’s website. Nokia 3555 has quad-band GSM/EDGE radios as well as stereo Bluetooth, microSD slot, music player. It seems nothing too spectacular here. The MyFaves enabled devices comes with 128×160 display and a VGA camera. It also supports AWS 1700MHz WCDMA 3G, though you can’t use 3G on T-Mobile’s network.
