3UK introduced Mobile Skype for Business. According to The Inquirer, 3 aims Skype at business. The idea is to create tariffs that will appeal to small businesses (sub 20 persons) and the self-employed but throw in the free Skype calling too. There’s also free regular mobile calls if you use your 3 phone to call another 3 UK customer. Better still, it’s possible to call back to the UK while roaming on an overseas network and the call will cost the same as if you were in the UK. Interestingly, you don’t even have to use the Skypephone, you can do so if you pick a Nokia N95 or a HTC TyTN II.

Fun Text ‘Emotional Messaging’ app on selected 3UK devices. Under the deal, 3 customers will be able to access Fun Text’s services from the messaging menu of their phones, alongside SMS and MMS. The Fun Text platform lets them easily add rich media content to their text messages.
Gemma Atkinson in Need For Speed Mobile Game Launch. Gemma Atkinson was on hand to help 3 launch the Sony Ericsson W910i (with Need for Speed Mobile preloaded) the other day at their Islington store. For those of you that don’t know, Gemma Atkinson is an English actress, television personality and glamour and lingerie model. She recently appeared as a contestant on the ITV reality TV series I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! and is recognisable as one of the most prominent celebrity glamour models in the UK. 
Google Maps 2.0 is First Launched by 3UK. 3G Operator 3UK have announced they are the first MNO in Europe to launch Google Maps version 2. Google Maps version 2.0 requires a 3G connection, and will use your mobile phone connection to establish your location through GPS, and work out directions or find local services and business for you at the touch of a button.
