Alltel Samsung Hue II (SCH-r600) released. The successor to the popular Samsung Hue clamshell, called Samsung Hue II (model name SCH-r600) has been released by Alltel. The mobile phone comes with a 2.2-inch screen, A-GPS, Bluetooth, music player with dedicated control keys, 2 megapixel camera for both photos and videos, email application, 54MB of internal memory that is further expandable with microSD cards. The device measures 3.8×1.9×0.7 inches and has a weight of 3.4 ounces. No word on price nor exact availability date. Stay tuned.

LG Swift clamshell on Alltel. LG and Alltel Wireless introduced the LG Swift. The new flip phone is bursting with easy-to-use multimedia features and advanced technology for immediate access to services and applications while on-the-go. This mobile phone is the first Alltel handset to be equipped with a next generation keypad featuring Fastap Press-to-Experience keys which integrates six raised one-touch access Quick Keys with a traditional numeric keypad. Upcoming Samsung phones for the US leaked. Samsung’s US lineup leaked, First we have Alltel SCH-R600 Hue II, and the AT&T slider SGH-A777. Alltel SCH-R600 Hue II has removable covers and a 2-megapixel camera. As for A777, it is a mid-level phone with plenty of color options and a 1.3-megapixel camera. Then, Samsung Eternity A867 (now up to a 5 megapixel camera, not 3MP as previously reported), followed by Verizon’s Saga I770, OMNIA I910 and the Renown U810 clamshell. We already know that the Saga and Omnia has WinMo 6.1 OS. Saga and Renown are global phones, supporting both CDMA and GSM.

Samsung Delve on Alltel. As a follow-up to the previous Samsung Delve for U.S. Cellular, the mobile phone is now coming to Alltel too. Samsung Delve comes with a 3-inch 240×400 pixels screen, EV-DO support, 2 megapixel camera, TouchWiz UI, Bluetooth, GPS (Alltel Navigation), media player, full HTML browser, microSD card slot and standard 3.5mm headset jack. It measures 3.89×1.93×0.55 inches and has a weight of 3.35 ounces.
Alltel Samsung Delve will be available for $199 with a 2-year contract and after a $100 mail-in rebate on November 6th. With that price, you’ll also get an 8GB microSDHC memory card.

Alltel Avatars - Mobile Animated Messages. With Alltel Avatars, you can now express your emotions using animated 3D characters to deliver pre-recorded and personalized messages. You can also create your own Alltel Avatar by simply uploading a photo from your phone or computer. The service enables users to choose from a library of pre-produced greetings or use templates to create their own greeting using 3D avatars, photos, voice and more.

Alltel Palm Treo 700wx ROM update. Following the previous Verizon Palm Treo 700p ROM update, a new ROM update is also available for Alltel Palm Treo 700wx, it’s version 1.12. This is a ROM update to fix a phone reset issue that occurs under certain specific and rare conditions.

HTC NEON400 on FCC, HTC Touch Dual CDMA version soon? Following on the previous HTC NEON300 (HTC Touch Dual) on FCC, Another HTC WinMo smartphone with CDMA network has been spotted on FCC. If the NEON300 on GSM network, this touchscreen NEON400 seems to be the ‘CDMA HTC Touch Dual’. Yeah, a little snooping around the FCC’s testing documents shows that this particular handset rocks a CDMA radio. We can’t wait to see this CDMA variant of HTC Touch Dual to be probably on Verizon?, Alltel?, or Sprint? Stay tuned.

Windows Mobile 6 for Palm Treo 700wx. We’ve recently heard that Windows Mobile 6.0 AKU 4.2 ROM is compatible with Palm Treo 700wx handsets. This should be a good news for people who’re having Treo 700wx on Verizon, Alltel, and Sprint’s networks. Before you grab it, please note that SDHC apparently doesn’t work at this point, however it may not bother most of Windows Mobile fans. For Verizon customers, while waiting for the ‘official’ Windows Mobile 6 ROM in 2H 2008, you can use this ROM too.
