Nokia E66 on FCC. Nokia E66, the successor to Nokia’s first E-Series slider - the Nokia E65, was spotted on FCC. FCC docs show that the Nokia E66 should bring slider-loving E-Series fans the benefits of US-friendly 3G/HSDPA on the 850Mhz and 1900Mhz bands. Sony Ericsson XPERIA X1 white paper shows two versions (X1a and X1c). There are two XPERIA X1 variants, X1a and X1c. Sony Ericsson XPERIA X1a will sport a quad-band GSM (850/900/1800/1900Mhz) radio and a tri-band (850/1900/2100Mhz) UMTS/HSPA radio for 3G data connectivity, while the X1c changes things up with a tri-band (900/1900/2100Mhz) UMTS/HSPA 3G radio. AT&T to deploy HSPA 3G Network. AT&T announced that, in the next month, the company will deploy High Speed Uplink Packet Access (HSUPA) technology in the six remaining markets across AT&T’s entire 3G (third-generation) wireless broadband network. When done, AT&T will have completed its deployment of HSUPA technology, which complements existing HSDPA technology (High Speed Downlink Packet Access), making AT&T the only U.S. carrier to have fully deployed HSPA technology in its 3G network.
