Following on the possibly Garmin Nuvifone in white version alongside the confirmed Black Nuvifone, A new rumor said that Garmin has announced that it has, for the first time ever, outsourced production of a device. Nuvifone will apparently be manufactured by ASUS. According to DigiTimes, industry sources pointed out ASUS has been working with Garmin for two years on the project, with the Taiwan-based maker chiefly contributing its know-how in RF technologies. Garmin’s director of OEM and mobile marketing, Roger Jollis, confirmed that the first Nuvifone will be the first in line of Nuvifone-branded devices planned for the next few years. Stay tuned.

Yap, Windows Mobile 6.1 will be powering this GPS smartphone.

The device, codenamed “Galaxy Mini” and clearly intended to do battle with the HTC Touch, Galaxi Mini will be powered by a TI processor at 200 MHz. Galaxy Mini will be available in several different colors. Street price should hover somewhere between 300 and 400 Euros.
