Two HSPA-enabled Mobile Internet Devices (MIDs) launched by SFR in France 1Two HSPA-enabled Mobile Internet Devices (MIDs) launched by SFR in France. a major French operator, SFR, has launched two Linux-based Mobile Internet Devices (MIDs): The SFR M! PC Pocket 3G+ and the Archos 3G+, that connect to the operator’s national HSPA mobile broadband network via embedded modules from Option.

PC Pocket 3G+, features a 4.8-inch touchscreen, slide-out QWERTY keyboard, Intel Atom CPU and 4GB of integrated memory. On the other hand, The Archos 3G+ features the same kind of touchscreen (4.8-inch) with storage capacity going up to 30GB - gives users an entirely new way to enjoy the Web, digital media and TV on a thin and extremely fast handheld tablet. Linux is also running the show, and Option provided necessary HSPA embedded modules to make these babies sing along SFR’s 3G network.
