iPhone 2.0.2 OS Firmware. Following the previous iPhone 2.0.1 OS, Apple finally pushes out Apple iPhone 2.0.2 OS via iTunes. According to Apple, this version includes improvements, bug fixes, and supersedes all previous versions. Some users are reporting that they have faster internet browsing, the iPhones running faster, typing lag reduced, and transition from music list to CoverFlow has been updated. You can download the iPhone 2.0.2 Software update through your iTunes.
Samsung i900 Omnia Firmware update. Samsung Singapore just made its first ROM update for the SGH-i900 Omnia Windows Mobile 6.1 Professional smartphone available. The self-service ROM update (no more service center returns) should include new functionalities like new widgets for Samsung’s custom Today screen and a brand-new Hanyu Pinyin text input method for typing in Chinese characters as well as several bug fixes.

New Beta of iPhone 2.1 Firmware with Push Notification Service. As a follow-up to the previous iPhone 2.1 Firmware beta + GPS features, Apple has released another 2.1 firmware release to developers (2nd beta), iPhone 2.1 SDK with Push Notification Service. The new version appears to include several bug fixes.
“This is the second beta of the iPhone SDK targeting iPhone OS 2.1, including bug fixes to iPhone OS as well as an early implementation of the Apple Push Notification Service API. This API is not yet integrated with a live push server.”
No word on the final version of iPhone 2.1 Firmware release date, but the included “Push Notification Service” was promised by September.

iPhone Firmware 2.0.1 OS A new report about new firmware update for iPhone 2.0, version 2.0.1. Apple is testing the first maintenance and security updates for its iPhone 2.0 Firmware that aim to improve performance and fix a number of outstanding bugs. BoyGenius’s server logs point towards users visiting the site using a version of the iPhone OS numbered 2.0.1. Two builds are said to be in circulation, 5B101 for 2G iPhone and 5B103 iPhone 3G. AppleInsider has the screenshot of what appears to be the iPhone 2.0.1 OS up and running on an iPhone. The server requests are said to come from the San Francisco Bay Area, near the Cupertino headquarters for Apple and Atlanta, AT&T’s home base. This new firmware is expected to bring some bug fixes, we don’t know the details, maybe additional features will also be included? we can’t wait, Stay tuned.
