Motorola VE66 5MP Linux cameraphone. The latest unofficial report shows a new Motorola VE66 that will come with a built-in WiFi support, 3G (HSDPA), 2.4-inch 16 million color screen, stereo Bluetooth, and a microSD memory card slot. There are also Freescale’s SCM-A11 500MHz CPU, Montavista v2.6.10 Linux (nope, not Android). It’s not clear whether the camera module will use the same Kodak lens as the Motorola ZN5, though. No word on release date yet. Stay tuned.

LG-KC780 Slim 8 Megapixel Portrait Phone launched. As a follow-up to the last post LG KC780 8 MP Cameraphone confirmed, LG finally announced the launch of its LG-KC780, a slim 8 megapixel camera phone with special features that make it ideal for shooting portraits. LG-KC780 is a slim slider phone at just 13.9 mm thick, but manages to include a large 2.4-inch widescreen LCD. Several of the LG-KC780’s smart technologies focus around the most expressive part of a person, the face. Face Detection automatically finds and focuses on people’s faces to allow photographers to take clearer pictures. Part of this feature relies on LG’s Smile Detection technology, which can recognize the angle of people’s mouths and adjust focus for faces. LG KC780 8 MP Cameraphone confirmed. As a follow-up to the previous post about LG KC780 8 megapixel Cameraphone, the mobile phone were finally confirmed. LG claims the handset will be the thinnest on the market with an 8-megapixel camera. KC780 is a slider phone that will offer quad-band (850/900/1800/1900Mhz) GSM/EDGE support, Bluetooth 2.0, and 30fps video recording in a vertical-slider form-factor. The phone’s signature camera will have autofocus, red eye reduction and face recognition features. Onboard storage is limited to 140MB, but a microSD card slot allows expansion. Samsung Pixon 8 megapixel cameraphone. We already heard some 8MP phones such as Samsung M8800 Bresson, LG KC910, etc. Samsung has recently unveiled another handset, Samsung Pixon cameraphone, coming with a 3.2-inch touchscreen display, 8 megapixel auto-focus camera with face detection and geo-tagging support, it’s capable of recording video at 60 and 120 fps, LED flash. Samsung Pixon sports a quad-band (850/900/1800/1900Mhz) GSM/EDGE radio, single-band (2100Mhz) UMTS/HSPA (3G) radio, FM radio with RDS, TV-out jack, and microSD card slot. The phone measures at 13.8mm thick. Samsung Pixon is expected to come in Europe mid-October. No word on pricing yet, Stay tuned.

Daxian X908 - Chinese 8 MP Cameraphone with 3x optical zoom + dual-SIM. We’re already aware of those top branded 8-megapixel cameraphones including Samsung i8510 INNOV8, Sony Ericsson C905 Cyber-shot, and rumored LG KC910 8 megapixel CameraPhone, and what’s this? A Chinese handset has recently been spotted with 8 megapixel camera!
Daxian X908 has apparently a 8 Megapixel camera with 3x optical zoom, and a 2 megapixel camera on the front. This China-made cameraphone features a 3-inch QVGA touchscreen display, built-in FM radio, stereo Bluetooth (A2DP) and a dual microSD card slot design. There are also built-in analog TV tuner, dual-SIM card support, 36MB internal memory, pre-installed NES emulator, which allows playing a wide choice of Nintendo games. Sounds perfect? Unfortunately, it lack 3G and WiFi. We aren’t sure whether most of those specifications are fake or actually the real deal. From the pictures we all can see that ‘8.0′ number. Motorola MOTOZINE ZN5 got reviewed. Following on the recent Motorola MotoZINE ZN5 Now Official, Motorola’s camera phone in partnership with Kodak, called the ZN5 has been recently reviewed by the folks behind Crave. Boasting a 5-megapixel camera and Kodak technology, this cameraphone with its Xenon flash helps light up dark-shots, and the final result is a high-quality photo. You can see the sample photo (full resolution here). Motorola reckons that this is possibly the best camera phone ever made.

Verizon LG Dare available. As a follow-up to the previous post, LG Dare on June 26, the touchscreen cameraphone is now available through Verizon online store. If you look for an all-touchscreen handset, LG Dare seems to be a good alternative to the iPhone 3G, this cellphone will give you a 3-inch touchscreen with haptic feedback, a 3.2 megapixel camera (with auto-focus, flash, and face-detection), Bluetooth A2DP, EVDO Rev. We’re not sure what this thing is called, Motorola ZINE ZN5 has also been spotted rocking a 5-megapixel shooter from Kodak, in candy-bar (monoblock) form.
