Meizu M8 New UI UpdateMeizu M8 New UI Update. We already heard this handset before (Meizu M8 - iPhone Clone gets Chinese Patent), Recently, Meizu released a few photos of the new, redesigned UI for Meizu M8. The UI design changes are reportedly the work of eico design (a well-known Chinese design firm that has worked with the likes of Lenovo, Google and Phillips). There’re animated icons, features sparkling animations and LED-like indicators for missed calls and messages.

Now, Apple never intended for the iPhone to be a “reference” design, but we’re sure the authorities in the Far East won’t mind if anyone rips off Apple’s work. C-002 claims a “rock solid 99% iPhone clone”.

The chip giants were at CES 2008 in Las Vegas and there stand had many ultra pc concepts including one shown here that was a fully working prototype.

After famously winning Apple’s computer business, Intel appears to have its sights set on providing the powerplant for the iPhone and its descendants.
