Huawei for Europe. Huawei wants to step up overseas sales drive in Europe, in a move that will raise pressure on western rivals. The 2007 annual report of Huawei, which is not a public company, said it generated revenue of $12.6bn and net income of $673.5m.

LG KM710, LG KM380 Music Phones. The launch of two LG music phones have been announced, LG KM710 and LG KM380 - in Asia, Latin America, the Middle East and Africa. Both devices use the LG Sound Engine technology which promises to boost sound quality. Both handsets are targetted for the emerging markets.
LG KM710 is the updated version of the LG KM500. This cellphone features lighting effects for the indicator, solid speaker, GraceNote support, and up to 30 hours of music listening. LG KM380 sports a slim body and MP3 playback software that uses the so called “Restoration Technology,” which will repair the loss quality from MP3 files.

Mobile Banking Services will reach 816 million consumers by 2011. “Mobile Financial Services: Banking & Payment Markets 2007-2011″, a new report by Juniper Research suggests that the number of consumers accessing banking services and products via their mobile phones will reach 816 million by 2011, a tenfold increase on the number using such services in 2007. Financial institutions are bringing an increasing number of products and services to the mobile environment — including financial information services, funds transfer, bill payment and presentation, account management and customer service — which in turn should help the annual number of global mobile banking transactions rise from 2.7 billion in 2007 to 37 billion by 2011.
