Far Cry 2 Mobile Game by Gameloft. Good news for mobile gamers favoring action/arcade/shooter genre, Gameloft secured the license to launch Far Cry 2 on mobile phones. Interestingly, the third-person shooter includes the roaming 2D visuals.
Taking to war-torn Africa, it’s your happy task to hunt down nefarious gun trafficker The Jackal. The ten levels feature both on-foot and motorcycle action taking you through the Savanna, across deserts and deep into the jungle armed with grenades, flame throwers, mine detectors and sniper rifles.

Quake-maker: iPhone better than Nintendo DS + PSP combined. John Carmack, the Quake founder said that iPhone better than dedicated gaming systems. He mentions that the handset is “more powerful than a Nintendo DS and PSP combined”. Carmack says that id is currently toiling away to release 2 new iPhone games through the AppStore, one ‘conventional mobile game,’ and another intended to take the iPhone to its graphical limits. It can be a good sign for mobile gamers when Carmack says something has some power behind it, especially statements from the co-founder of id, the company that created one of the more hardware-intensive gaming titles out there.

Sony Ericsson Mobile Gaming (turns phone’s camera into a motion-controlling sensor). Sony Ericsson has reportedly signed a deal with California-based GestureTek to bring the Wii-like gaming experience to camera-equipped Sony Ericsson phones, which don’t have an accelerometer built inside (like K850i, W910i models). The software, which is the same as currently used on Sony’s EyeToy device for the PlayStation 2, will work with new and old phones alike and will use the phone’s camera to sense movement.
