Toshiba Portégé G810 Release on June 20th. As a follow-up to the previous post, Toshiba Portégé G810 Windows Mobile Smartphone, According to Akihabara, this WinMo handset will be released on June 20th. Let’s recap, This all-touchscreen device features a large 2.8-inch display, QVGA (240×320 pixels). There’s also WiFi, GPS (and A-GPS support), Bluetooth, FM radio, HSDPA/HSUPA, and a microSD memory expansion slot. Toshiba Portégé G810 runs Windows Mobile 6.1 with some custom UI, and sports up to 4GB of memory (microSD).

iPhone 2.0 beta Firmware has Geo-Tagging Support for Camera Photos. The latest iPhone OS 2.0 firmware which is released privately to a select group of enterprise partners (firmware build 5A292g) adds a few new preferences and the beginnings of geo-tagging support for the handset’s Camera app.

3G iPhone to sport GPS, Video Conference, Mobile TV? According to LeMatin.ch, the next-gen 3G iPhone would come with GPS, Video Conferencing and Mobile TV functionality. GPS and video conferencing (with front-sided camera) have both been rumored for the next generation iPhone (iPhone 2.0 for True GPS Support?, 3G iPhone + Video Chat with iChat), but the addition of mobile television is new. iPhone 2.0 for True GPS Support? Apple could be readying the iPhone for true GPS support in the near term. It’s not clear whether the GPS support will come in the form of integrated GPS hardware or support for dock-connected GPS peripherals, but it does seem likely that GPS is coming to the iPhone.
