32GB iPhone 3G? A new speculation says that retail sources are now reporting inventory shortages of the entry level 8GB iPhone 3G, which might signal its cancelation and even the possible introduction of a 32GB model to match the iPod touch. The speculation is based on the product refresh last year:
The introduction of home activation and a new unlocked unit price may come with a product refresh. Last year, Apple dropped the 4GB entry level iPhone model in September and then added a new 16GB model in February 2008.

O2 iPhone 3G Pay and Go pricing. O2 announces iPhone 3G Pay & Go pricing and launch date. The iPhone 3G Pay & Go plan will be launched in O2 stores and The Carphone Warehouse on September 16th. O2 will sell the 8GB and 16GB iPhone 3Gs for 349.99 GBP and 399.99 GBP. Unfortunately, Visual Voicemail isn’t included in the service. More information is available from O2’s website here.

Following the previous iPhone 3G exclusively for AT&T until 2010, Here’s good news for iPhone 3G customers who’re looking to unlock their handset on other unofficial GSM carriers. A vendor which offers a number of cases, cables and other accessories for various iPhone and iPod models, USB Fever, plans to ship a hardware-based iPhone 3G SIM unlock on August 20th. iPhone 3G exclusively for AT&T until 2010? The U.S. mobile phone market is rapidly becoming saturated — meaning everybody who wants a cellphone already has one, that means carriers have to do everything they can to steal subscribers from each other and also maintain a competitive edge against their rivals. Under the original iPhone contract, Apple had the right to offer Apple iPhone 3G to other carriers beginning in 2009, so AT&T wants to extend their exclusivity agreement into 2010. AT&T chief Randall Stephenson declined to discuss the contract, saying only that he is “very happy” with the arrangement.
