BlackBerry Curve 8350i for Latin America via NII. RIM announced that Nextel Argentina, Nextel Brazil, Nextel Mexico and Nextel Peru will launch the BlackBerry Curve 8350i smartphone during the first quarter of 2009. The BlackBerry Curve 8350i will be the first smartphone in Latin America to offer the industry-leading Push-to-Talk (PTT) service, International Direct Connect (IDC) and Wi-Fi capability, making it a powerful and flexible wireless solution for the mobile business user.

LG KM710, LG KM380 Music Phones. The launch of two LG music phones have been announced, LG KM710 and LG KM380 - in Asia, Latin America, the Middle East and Africa. Both devices use the LG Sound Engine technology which promises to boost sound quality. Both handsets are targetted for the emerging markets.
Motorola RAZR2 V9 Ferrari Edition. Motorola is reportedly working on a version of the RAZR2 V9 that would also wear the Ferrari brand. Motorola V9 RAZR2 Ferrari is still the same handset with 2.2″ display, 2 megapixel camera and HSDPA connectivity. The bad news for Ferrari fans in Europe and U.S. is that Preliminary reports tell us that Moto RAZR2 V9 Ferrari edition will only be marketed in Latin America and Asia.
Hummer HT2 Mobile Phone. Following the success of HT1 last year (More than 50,000 Hummer HT1 mobiles have been sold worldwide), Hummer phone HT2 is now being launched by ModeLabs. Unlike the original device which had the slider form factor, the HT2 is a candybar-shaped device, thus it targets those that like the Hummer brand but dislike sliders.
