VEVA S60 - Chinese Luxury phone. Qiao Xing Universal Telephone announced that its major subsidiary CEC Telecom Co., Ltd’s (CECT) new luxury brand VEVA S60 mobile handset (”VEVA S60”) has achieved great success since its release in May 2008. VEVA S60 targets female professionals with its unique and luxury design and features. Through cooperation with Swarovski, each VEVA S60 is decorated with 129 Swarovski crystal mosaic and 18K gold coating. As thin as 9.4 millimeters, VEVA S60 also has long standby time. Retail price stands at RMB1,980 (USD290) and nearly 100,000 units were sold in the second quarter of 2008. VEVA S60’s gross margin was 61%. CECT targets to sell 300,000 units of VEVA S60 in the third quarter of 2008. Taiwan star Miss Wu Peici was invited by CECT as the prolocutor for VEVA S60. Tag Heuer Meridiist Hands-on. We’ve previously heard that Tag Heuer Meridiist approved by the FCC, Recently The folks behind stuff.tv have got their lucky hands on the “Vertu Killer” luxury phone. The recent Tag Heuer’s £2650 (about $5000) Meridiist mobile phone from the Swiss watchmaker is unashamedly bulky, like a solid block of aluminium with a screen stuck on the front. The screen is made from an apparently an ‘unscratchable’ 60.5 carats of sapphire crystal. There’s also a 2 megapixel camera, 1.9-inch QVGA display, OLED 96×76 pixel secondary display, MP3 player, Bluetooth, leather trim, and a metal casing. Images follow after the jump. Following the previous $5,000 Christian Dior Luxury Phone, ModeLabs and Christian Dior are launching the even more fancier version of the phone called Lady Dior. The “My Dior” clamshell comes in two versions, both come with a 2.6-inch QCGA touch screen display and a 2-megapixel camera. The difference between the two? If The lesser sibling was a mere $5,000, for more frugal shoppers, This higher-end model is draped in crocodile skin and festooned with 640 Swarovski crystals (totaling 3,251 carats). Gresso White Diamond Collection Luxury Phones. Two new luxury handsets (White Diamond Collection) by Gresso. The design sticks close to the Black Diamond collection which was revealed back in 2007 but drops the black for white diamonds. The casing is made of the same 200-year-old African blackwood and a titanium keyboard base plate.
