Skyfire Browser for Symbian in beta 2. Skyfire mobile browser has been released for selected private beta testers. Skyfire is a greatly improved Opera Mini browser using classic server-side solution that uses Gecko for rendering. Skyfire browser features a full desktop-like web browsing experience to the mobile phones including Ajax, Flash, Quicktime, Windows Media, and more. Digia @Web - 1st Finger Touch Web Browser for Symbian UIQ. A first full finger touch web browser for UIQ platform phones has been created by Digia Plc. This application which is called Digia @Web is designed for UIQ 3 and Symbian OS. The mobile browser is based on the open-source webkit browser engine ported to UIQ by Digia, and a whole new browser UI that gives powerful and intuitive access to true web content. It is based on the same core Nokia’s S60 browser and Apple’s Safari use - Webkit. Other users of the webkit browser engine also include iPhone and Google Android. Opera Mobile 9.5 for WinMo Review. Opera announced Opera Mobile 9.5 back in February and we have all been waiting anxiously for its release. It is still not available for download, but is coming out on some mobile devices. And Now, it gets reviewed by ZDnet. Flash Video Support Update for CorePlayer Mobile. One of the best digital media players has been updated to include the Flash video support — actually that’s Adobe Flash Multimedia Container (FLV, F4V) support. In addition, the new version also adds support for site specific functions like “Revision3 via RSS” with an idea to allow users to more easily subscribe to their favorite podcasts. That doesn’t mean you can view Flash-based vids in your mobile browser, but you can view .FLV files in the newest CorePlayer version, which is 1.2.4. Yahoo announced onePlace “, the industry’s first mobile content management service,” which enables consumers to “improve the management of the wide range of content available over the Internet.” The idea is to provide a single point from which users can access all the contents of their favorite contents either static or dynamic.
