HTC T-Mobile Shadow II with UMA. Following on previous post, HTC CONV100 on FCC, T-Mobile Shadow II?, A new report says that HTC will make Shadow II UMA handset for T-Mobile USA. It will be T-Mobile USA’s first Windows Mobile-based UMA (unlicensed mobile access) handset. T-Mobile Shadow 2 is the successor to the original T-Mobile Shadow (basically a re-branded HTC Juno). The company planning to launch the device in the fourth quarter of this year (Q4 2008).

BlackBerry 9100 KickStart More Pictures. From the previous posts, we’re already aware of this BlackBerry Kickstart Clamshell on T-Mobile USA (more details). It’s good to see that RIM is preparing to launch its first clamshell flip phone. From the last report we know that the mobile phone will be a quad-band (850/900/1800/1900Mhz) GSM radio, 2 megapixel camera, WiFi, and a 3.5mm headphone jack into the device. The internal display is reported to be a QVGA 240×320 jobby, while the external one display sports a 160×128 pixel resolution. The SureType keyboard is apparently a next-generation version of the double-letter keyboard, and BlackBerry OS 4.6. T-Mobile USA: Android confirmed. Joe Sims, VP and General Manager of T-Mobile’s Broadband and New Business Division had already seen prototypes of the company’s Android-based phone, and he has confirmed that T-Mobile USA will be offering at least one Android based handset which are scheduled to ship in this year’s final quarter.
“I’m impressed,” he said. “We will have more than one product…(The move to an open platform) will be innovation across the board, not just one device.”

Rumor: BlackBerry 9100?. Following the last post, BlackBerry 9000 with HSDPA + WiFi, A new rumor reported that a BlackBerry 9100 is on the way. BoyGenius have found references to a BlackBerry 9100 with an external display. Both Vodafone and DoCoMo are mentioned as possible carriers for the BlackBerry 9100.
