Kodak + Nokia : Patent Cross-License Agreement. Eastman Kodak Company announced that it entered into a patent license agreement earlier this month with Nokia Corporation that will allow each company access to the other’s intellectual property portfolio. The license agreement, which provides significant benefits to both companies, is royalty bearing to Kodak. Additional financial terms were not disclosed. Nokia E63 spotted in the wild. Following the popular Nokia E71 Phone of the Year 2008, a new rumor says that Nokia is apparently preparing another QWERTY keyboard equipped smartphone like E71 coming with no metal construction (plastic only) except Navikey and camera module, it’s Nokia E63. The mobile phone has been caught in the wild.

Nokia 2228 low-end CDMA phone + LED indicator light. A new simple candybar with a LED indicator light that flashes with incoming calls or messages waiting has been announced for its select global CDMA markets, it’s Nokia 2228. The mobile phone comes with a 1.3 megapixel camera, 128×160 pixels screen, music player, 2.5 mm universal headset jack, FM radio, and measures 110×40×12 mm and has a weight of 72 grams. Nokia 2228 is expected to launch in select CDMA markets in Q4 2008.

£24k Nokia Signature Vertu phone. Luxury Nokia brand marks 10th anniversary with £24,000 white gold Vertu-branded handset. The luxury handset includes a specially composed piece of music performed by the London Symphony Orchestra; a ‘concierge’ button offering expert advice and assistance, and has a patented keypad containing solid ruby bearings. There are three versions of the special edition Signature, available in stainless steel (pictured) at €9,500 (£7,540). A yellow gold version is available for £18,000 and white gold for around £24,000.

AT&T Nokia 6650 on FCC. Following the previous report about Nokia 6650 for AT&T, the mobile phone has recently been spotted at the FCC.
As you may already know, it will sport a ‘US-friendly’ 3G radio (WCDMA 850/1900 MHz), Symbian OS with S60 3.2 (Feature pack 2), 2 megapixel camera, GPS, QVGA (320×240) screen and a microSD memory card slot.

Nokia’s global Ovi site, Sync on Ovi available. Nokia has recently launched the global Ovi.com website to bring all of their web services — including Nokia Maps, Share on Ovi and Files on Ovi — under one brand. The SyncML based Sync on Ovi service, available for both S60 and S40-powered Nokia cell phones, allows you to easily sync your contacts, appointments, and notes to your Nokia account. 3G-enabled Vertu Signature. An unofficial report says that Nokia’s luxury brand Vertu will be releasing the first 3G-enabled Vertu phone in the near future.
Nothing is official from Nokia at this point, but the mobile phone may come with WiFi and an OLED QVGA screen. No word on pricing nor release date. Stay tuned.

AT&T Nokia 2680 on FCC. An entry-level cellphone, Nokia 2680 with AT&T logo has been spotted on FCC. The mobile phone has low-end specs such as a camera, FM radio, and music player. Unsubsidized price should be around $115 or free with any kind of contract.
