0. Go to your Sprint Palm Treo 800w ‘Dial Pad’
1. Type ##EVDO# (it’s the same as ##3836#)
2. You’ll see a ‘hidden’ command menu and “Rev A” unchecked
3. CHECK that ‘Enable Rev A?’ box!
4. Set Broadband Setting to ‘Automatic’
Without the “Rev A” box checked, upload speeds cap at around 120kbps. When enabled, you easily and consistently hit up in the mid 300kbps range. Enjoy that double faster speed! Note: Use at your own risk.

Following the previous official Sprint Palm Treo 800w, we’ve recently heard that the Palm Treo 800w display’s square-shape and non-standard resolution have proven to be an issue for some users attached to certain Windows Mobile applications. While previous Palm Treo handsets with 240×240 displays worked well, the new 320×320 display screen doesn’t fit well with some applications. The QWERTY-enabled device goes live on Sprint’s website. Palm Treo is slimmer, sleeker, and more power-packed than any of its Treo predecessors. The next-generation Palm smartphone comes with Windows Mobile 6.1 Professional, GPS, WiFi (with a dedicated toggle switch), and EVDO Rev. A tucked under its 320×320 touchscreen display.
