Palm Treo Pro CDMA version? According to China Economic News Service, Palm is planning to launch CDMA (code division multiple access) version of Treo Pro series phone in the future for CDMA telecom service providers, like Verizon, Wireless and Sprint. The phone will also be supplied by HTC. Palm has worked with HTC on an ODM (original design manufacturing) basis for a long time, with the latter having developed and supplied the first Treo 700 series PDA (personal digital assistant) phone to the former.

Verizon Palm Treo 700p ROM update. A new ROM update has been pushed out by Palm for its Verizon Palm Treo 700p, it’s version 1.11. This is a radio ROM update to fix a phone reset issue that occurs under certain specific and rare conditions. The Palm Treo 700p’s v1.11 ROM can only be applied to handsets that are already running the v1.10 ROM. In case your Palm smartphone is still sporting v1.06 ROM. You have to upgrade to 1.10 ROM before applying this new v1.11 ROM update.

Bluetooth Voice Dialing for Palm Treo 800w. Following the previous Palm Treo 800w for Sprint reviewed, Here’s now good news for Treo 800w users, they will be able to call people using voice and a Bluetooth headset. Palm Treo 800w Voice Dialing Over Bluetooth will be available soon as a download from the official Palm’s web page.

How to Enable Palm Treo 800w EVDO Rev.A to increase upload speeds. The folks behind WMExperts wrote a nice trick for Sprint Palm Treo 800w users to have a better upload data stream.
0. Go to your Sprint Palm Treo 800w ‘Dial Pad’
1. Type ##EVDO# (it’s the same as ##3836#)
2. You’ll see a ‘hidden’ command menu and “Rev A” unchecked
3. CHECK that ‘Enable Rev A?’ box!
4. Set Broadband Setting to ‘Automatic’
Without the “Rev A” box checked, upload speeds cap at around 120kbps. When enabled, you easily and consistently hit up in the mid 300kbps range. Enjoy that double faster speed! Note: Use at your own risk.

Sprint Palm Treo 800w display compatibility issues. Following the previous official Sprint Palm Treo 800w, we’ve recently heard that the Palm Treo 800w display’s square-shape and non-standard resolution have proven to be an issue for some users attached to certain Windows Mobile applications. While previous Palm Treo handsets with 240×240 displays worked well, the new 320×320 display screen doesn’t fit well with some applications.
