Windows Mobile 6 for Palm Treo 700wx. We’ve recently heard that Windows Mobile 6.0 AKU 4.2 ROM is compatible with Palm Treo 700wx handsets. This should be a good news for people who’re having Treo 700wx on Verizon, Alltel, and Sprint’s networks. Before you grab it, please note that SDHC apparently doesn’t work at this point, however it may not bother most of Windows Mobile fans. AT&T Palm Centro Official without 3G. AT&T customers can grab the small Palm OS-based Centro smartphone for $99 with an appropriate contract. Those that were looking forward to have some “HSDPA fun” while on-the-go will be sad to learn AT&T’s, just like the European version, Centro lacks 3G. It’s the EDGE “speeds” you’ll have to rely on. Palm Centro for T-Mobile? Palm Centro is rumored to be available soon for T-Mobile. T-Mobile in particular may have been specifically attracted by the strong positioning of the Centro in the youth market – an area that the carrier has always been very specific in targeting. At only $99 with a contract the Centro has clearly attracted a large audience that has been exposed to the iPhone marketing machine but unable or unwilling to buy one.
If that was true, it would be consistent with T-Mobile’s strategy of offering cheaper rates for 2.5G and basic services. Continue reading ‘Palm Centro for T-Mobile?’
Unlocked Palm Treo 500 Europe is now Available in Europe. Palm has released Unlocked Palm Treo 500. You can pick one up for the £269 ($526). But It’s still a Tri-Band phone, meaning that while you’ll get 3G goodness in Europe, you won’t get it in the US (and in many place you won’t get service at all). More bummage: The 500v’s neat carousel interface is most definitely a Vodafone-only option, the standard 500 doesn’t offer it.

Palm Centro GSM AT&T in White. This device is now about 99% certain to be the next Palm OS Garnet device announced from Palm, as Sprint’s reported three-month launch exclusivity period draws to a close. One of the only remaining unknown details is whether this will be marketed under the “Centro” banner as is the Sprint CDMA version or if Palm is going to call this the Treo 500p or Treo 690, as rumored earlier.
Palm have tries to keep the next Centro hidden from all exposure, however at CES 2008 a not so well known accessory vendor happened to let it out about a White Palm Centro which is GSM and more than likely no doubt headed for AT&T, however it doesn’t resemble the other Palm Centro.
