BlackBerry 4.5 Firmware Update for AT&T 8820, Curve 8310, Pearl 8120, Curve 8300 soon. AT&T and Research in Motion will release the BlackBerry OS 4.5 update for select BlackBerry smartphones — including the BlackBerry 8120, BlackBerry 8820, BlackBerry 8310 and BlackBerry 8300 in mid-September. BlackBerry Pearl 8220 aka KickStart. Following the previous reports, BlackBerry KickStart 8220 Video, not long ago, Research in Motion renames the first BlackBerry flip-phone, BlackBerry KickStart 8220 as “Pearl 8220″. Yeah, Blackberry Kickstart is the Blackberry Pearl 8220! Apparently, there will be two versions for the new Pearl, 8220 with wifi for T-Mobile USA and the Blackberry Pearl 8210 with GPS for AT&T. BlackBerry Media Sync available. As a follow-up to the last BlackBerry Media Sync - iTunes-based media transfers to BlackBerries, Research in Motion has finally released their BlackBerry Media Sync software to their BlackBerry handsets such as BlackBerry Pearl, Curve, and 8800 smartphones.
BlackBerry Media Sync software will give current and future BlackBerry handsets the ability to sync music and playlists directly from iTunes.

BlackBerry 8220 KickStart hands-on review. The folks behind Crackberry.com has got their lucky hands on BlackBerry 8220 KickStart and wrote a review. Research In Motion has apparently decided to drop the KickStart’s ‘9100′ model number in favor of the 8220 and 8210. BlackBerry 8220 KickStart clamshell features an impressive QVGA display, SureType keyboard. The first ever BlackBerry flip-phone has also WiFi connecticity and 3.5mm headphone jack. BlackBerry Curve 8350 for Nextel? We’ve recently just heard a new rumor that a new BlackBerry for Nextel’s iDEN network is reportedly being prepared by Research In Motion. If that’s true, we can expect the WiFi-enabled BlackBerry Curve 8350 for Nextel by the end of the year 2008, or probably in early 2009. Although this mobile phone is not so great as Blackberry Bold or BlackBerry Thunder, this would be an awesome phone if they did that for some people, they may be already waiting for this Curve to be available for iDEN network users. RIM confirmed new 3.5G BlackBerry (BlackBerry 9000?). RIM is testing a new BlackBerry with 3.5G data capabilities. The Financial Times revealed that Research In Motion (RIM) President Mike Lazaridis has confirmed the near-term release of a 3.5G-enabled BlackBerry smartphone.
