Following on the previous report, WinMo 6.1 Update for Sprint’s Motorola Q9c, AT&T has announced that subscribers with Motorola Q9h smartphones will be getting a Windows Mobile 6.1 update in the near future. According to Mike who revealed this, It looks like Motorola is prepping for the release of the WM 6.1 upgrade for AT&T Q9h. Motorola’s website links to what is a placeholder and is not the actual update. We have no information on a release date, but we’ll let you know when it’s available so you’re not spamming “refresh” on the Motorola Software Update Page.

We’ve heard some plans before about LTE network: 4G LTE Network by AT&T in 2012, Verizon LTE Network (700 MHz spectrum) in 2010, Now, Alltel, has announced that it has committed itself to rolling out a 4G LTE network in three to five years. “We do currently plan to move towards LTE in the three-to-five year timeframe versus WiMAX, but we’re still early in that,” according to Alltel President and CEO Scott Ford. The move to the 4G LTE technology makes Alltel the second CDMA carrier (Verizon Wireless being the first) to adopt the GSM-based LTE network evolution path as its future wireless communications standard. Profits reached 24.1 billion yuan (US$3.4 billion), a 37% rise over the year-earlier. after it added customers at a record pace by cutting rates and offering news and instant messaging. China Mobile’s net income jumped from 17.6 billion yuan the previous year to beat average analyst estimates of around 23.6 billion yuan. Sales rose 20% to 93.02 billion yuan.
