Nokia E63 officially announced. Following the recent Nokia E63 appeared at the Symbian Smartphone Show, the Nokia Eseries smartphone has finally been announced by Nokia. Nokia E63 vs E71 Specifications:

+ If Nokia E71 has a 2.5mm jack, the E63 has now a “more regular” 3.5mm audio jack.

Android-Symbian Merger just Speculation. Following the previous rumor about Symbian + Android Collaboration? Officials from Symbian, Nokia, and Google all dismissed the prediction — contained most recently in a report released yesterday by mobile analysis firm J. Gold Associates — as pure speculation.
Dismissing it as a “rumor,” a Nokia spokesperson declined to comment on the report. Symbian officials were unavailable but have dismissed such talk in private.
“We don’t comment on market rumors or speculations,” said a Google spokesperson.
“There is no substantive basis to this,” said mobile analyst Carmi Levy, senior VP for strategic consulting at AR Communications. “Nokia was quite adamant last November when it first shrugged off suggestions of a possible merger with Android.”

Symbian + Android Collaboration? According to Reuters, Symbian could expand its collaboration with Google Inc to the operating system level as it moves to grant free and open access to its software platform. (possibly Android?) “We already work together and so whatever collaboration, if there is an opportunity, we will be happy to collaborate with them,” Symbian chief executive Nigel Clifford told reporters in Tokyo. Symbian software is used in some 60 percent of smartphones — mobile handsets with computer-like capabilities — but Apple Inc’s iPhone or new categories of phones based on Google’s Android software could challenge that dominance.
