LG Rumor for Virgin Mobile Canada. A new slider is offered for Virgin Mobile customers in Canada, it’s LG Rumor. This QWERTY-enabled mobile phone features a 1.3 megapixel camera, dual keypad and slide-out QWERTY keyboard, good enough for they who love text messaging. There’s also Bluetooth connectivity, and speakerphone. It’s already available in black for $79.99 on a 3-year plan, or $199 to purchase outright. MetroPCS MetroFlash service for Sprint, Verizon, Alltel handsets. MetroPCS announced a new service called ‘MetroFlash’. With this, Sprint, Verizon, and Alltel phones can now be used on the MetroFlash flat-rate wireless service for a $40 a-month fee. CDMA mobile phones (which tested by MetroPCS) can be “flashed” by MetroPCS to work on their CDMA network. Of course, the service is limited to CDMA handsets, as GSM handsets, like the iPhone, work on a completely different communications standard. Dior cellphone which made by ModeLabs sports a touchscreen display and camera. Interestingly, Dior has included something called “My Dior” with their new handset. T-Mobile SMS Text Messaging Rates to be increased. T-Mobile will bump text messaging rates up from $0.15 cents to $0.20 cents. It seems this pricing increase will not hit customers who opted for unlimited texting plans, but unfortunately the price will hurt ‘pay-per-message’ customers and may give them an out, it will go in effect on August 29.

Pantech UTStarcom TXT8010 on FCC. Pantech’s latest creation for UTStarcom was spotted on the FCC website. Pantech has dubbed this QWERTY-phone the Pantech Elvis, but the FCC label in the diagram clearly shows that it’s the UTStarcom TXT8010. The design of this vertical slider is unique and attractive, looks a bit fat.
