We already heard this HWPen - Handwriting Recognition Application for iPhone before, And now there’s a new report, the HWPen application that was developed by Hanwang.com.cn has been acquired by Apple for use in the next major firmware release for the iPhone (iPhone 2.0 firmware).

iPhone 2.0 Beta Firmware has Push Email Capability. We knew a few third-party applications enabled push-email on iPhone over their Outlook Exchange servers. And now there’s a surprising rumor said that the next iPhone OS update - the iPhone OS 2.0 firmware - will launch packing native support for push email.
The latest build of iPhone OS 2.0, 5a274d, includes a a preference panel that allows users to control settings for applications with push capabilities. A new “Settings” pane under a new “Fetch New Data” category shows a toggle switch to enable push email. The screenshot also shows that push email is supported for .Mac. McAfee Antivirus for iPhone? Yeah, we know that there’s not a virus for the iPhone yet because of how tightly Apple intends to control the third party application deployments. Apparently, that doesn’t stop McAfee from developing its software — the so called iVirusScan — for the platform. Beta version of McAfee’s anti virus for iPhone has been found at http://ipkg.mcafeemobile.com/ and users have successfully installed/uninstalled the application. Following the last report, iPhone-Java Solution: alcheMo can port Java-based games, apps to iPhone and iPod Touch, Sun goes on pursuing talks with Apple to have Java applications run on Apple’s iPhone while acknowledging a third party’s efforts toward the same goal.

HWPen - Handwriting Recognition Application for iPhone. This is the first Handwriting Recognition IME on iPhone.
