Sony Ericsson will reportedly release a new touchscreen handset that will bring 8GB of internal memory and an 8 Megapixel camera, it’s codenamed ‘Hikaru’. The mobile phone comes with a large touchscreen display, and a slider to feature an alphanumeric or a QWERTY keyboard. Since there’s no image with the real Sony Ericsson Hikaru, The folk behind Unwired View has played around a bit and made a mockup of it, based on SE’s W960 model.

Apart from Sony Ericsson Hikaru, a Sony Ericsson Twiggy is also said to come next year. It will be the successor of W350, thus it’s a Walkman phone. Sony Ericsson Twiggy will have a 240 x 320 pixels display, a 3 megapixel camera and two color versions. Sony Ericsson Twiggy should be on sale starting the second quarter of 2009.
