Alltel Palm Treo 700wx ROM update. Following the previous Verizon Palm Treo 700p ROM update, a new ROM update is also available for Alltel Palm Treo 700wx, it’s version 1.12. This is a ROM update to fix a phone reset issue that occurs under certain specific and rare conditions.

Windows Mobile 6 for Palm Treo 700wx. We’ve recently heard that Windows Mobile 6.0 AKU 4.2 ROM is compatible with Palm Treo 700wx handsets. This should be a good news for people who’re having Treo 700wx on Verizon, Alltel, and Sprint’s networks. Before you grab it, please note that SDHC apparently doesn’t work at this point, however it may not bother most of Windows Mobile fans. For Verizon customers, while waiting for the ‘official’ Windows Mobile 6 ROM in 2H 2008, you can use this ROM too.

Firmware Updates for Palm Treo 700wx, Sprint Centro, Verizon Treo 755p. Following on the last report, Alltel Treo 755p ROM update, According to TreoCentral, there will be firmware updates for the Palm Treo 700wx, Sprint Centro, and the Verizon Treo 755p this spring and summer.
+ Palm Treo 700wx will get the Windows Mobile 6 Professional update. The upgrade will be available on Palm’s support website for Treo 700wx owners only (Treo 700w won’t work). Once the update is installed, customers will not be able to revert back to Windows Mobile 5.0. It will not work on the Verizon Treo 700w. Sprint’s Palm Treo 755p Temporarily discontinued. This smartphone is no longer listed on this wireless carrier’s web site. The phasing out of the Palm Treo 755p on Sprint is a bit puzzling, given that Palm just recently rolled out a palm treo 755p firmware update to the handset.
