As a follow-up to the previous report, Nokia - Trolltech Acquisition approved by European Commission, Nokia finally announced that it has completed its acquisition of Trolltech, a recognized software provider with world-class software development platforms and frameworks. In addition to the key software assets, the Trolltech team will play an important role in accelerating the implementation of Nokia’s software strategy. This will enable Nokia to accelerate the cross-platform software strategy for mobile devices and desktop applications, and develop our Internet services business. Nokia - Trolltech Acquisition approved by European Commission. The European Commission today announced that it has unconditionally approved Nokia’s voluntary tender offer for all the shares in Trolltech ASA. Nokia will now proceed with the consummation of the offer. Settlement for the shares tendered in the offer is expected to take place on June 6, 2008. In accordance with section 3.9 of the offer document, Nokia has determined that the tendered shares shall be acquired by its wholly owned subsidiary, Nokia Norge AS. Trolltech (www.trolltech.com), a company headquartered in Oslo, Norway and publicly listed on the Oslo Stock Exchange is in talks to be bough out by Nokia for $153 million. Trolltech is a recognized software provider with world-class software development platforms and frameworks. In addition to the key software assets, its talented team will play an important role in accelerating the implementation of Nokia’s software strategy.
