Winterface - Application for Windows Mobile UI. Winterface is a new application by VITO Technology, the company behind the iWindowsMobile Communication Suite — the application pack that ultimately makes Windows Mobile smartphone look and feel like an iPhone.
What’s Winterface?
Winterface is Mobile shell for your Windows Mobile to look special. Winterface bundles a launcher, a task manager, and a multitude of Today plug-ins. This application allows you to have as many screens as you want and put icons on apps, settings and contacts. Interestingly, Flipping through screens is done by sliding finger gestures. Winterface virtually replaces default interface of touch screen Windows Mobile devices and gives the user unprecedented freedom to easily lay out interface exactly the way they like it.

OpenMoko FreeRunner UI Screenshots. Following on the previous OpenMoko Neo FreeRunner Available, Recently we’ve heard that Ars Technica has got their screenshots of the FreeRunner’s GTK-based Linux stack (om2007.2). Apple’s Webkit powers the FreeRunner’s browser, and a terminal application gives the user root-access to a BusyBox shell. There are a lot of similarities between om2007.2 and Nokia’s Maemo platform—both are based on GTK+ and use OpenedHand’s lightweight Matchbox window manager. OpenedHand also developed several other important pieces of the om2007.2 stack, including the personal information management suite, which is called Pimlico.

Spb Software’s Apps for Toshiba Portégé G810. We’ve recently heard WinMo smartphone makers are making their custom UI to enhance the user experience, If Sony Ericsson decide to make its own UI for Xperia, Toshiba choose to license Spb Software’s apps to come pre-installed on Toshiba Portégé G810. The Toshiba Touch UI on Portégé G810 smartphone combines Spb Mobile Shell, a customized version of Spb Full Screen Keyboard, the Spb Pocket Plus smart scrolling component, and other Windows Mobile customization enhancements.
Toshiba Portégé G810 Release on June 20th. As a follow-up to the previous post, Toshiba Portégé G810 Windows Mobile Smartphone, According to Akihabara, this WinMo handset will be released on June 20th. Let’s recap, This all-touchscreen device features a large 2.8-inch display, QVGA (240×320 pixels). There’s also WiFi, GPS (and A-GPS support), Bluetooth, FM radio, HSDPA/HSUPA, and a microSD memory expansion slot. Toshiba Portégé G810 runs Windows Mobile 6.1 with some custom UI, and sports up to 4GB of memory (microSD).

Samsung i900 Omnia announced. Following the last post, Samsung SGH-i900 New Live Photos, This handset is finally unveiled by Samsung. This mobile phone is based on Windows Mobile 6.1 Pro, the Samsung i900 offers a 3.2-inch WideQVGA display (240 x 400 pixels) and an optical mouse much like the one found in the Samsung i780.

Digia @Web - 1st Finger Touch Web Browser for Symbian UIQ. A first full finger touch web browser for UIQ platform phones has been created by Digia Plc. This application which is called Digia @Web is designed for UIQ 3 and Symbian OS. The mobile browser is based on the open-source webkit browser engine ported to UIQ by Digia, and a whole new browser UI that gives powerful and intuitive access to true web content. It is based on the same core Nokia’s S60 browser and Apple’s Safari use - Webkit. Other users of the webkit browser engine also include iPhone and Google Android.
