HTC Touch HD for Orange in UK, O2 in Germany. O2 will carry the HTC Touch HD launch-exclusive in Germany. Recently, Orange UK announced that the HTC Touch HD will also be available in the UK from early November, exclusively on the Orange network. HTC Touch HD features a huge 3.8-inch WVGA (800×480 pixels) screen, 5 megapixel camera, Windows Mobile 6.1, HTC TouchFLO 3D UI (user interface), WiFi, HSDPA, and more.
No word on how much the Touch HD will be available in Germany. HTC Touch HD is exclusive on the Orange UK network until 2009 from £79.99 on an 18 month, £40 per month contact (Package includes inclusive option of anytime mobile internet browsing (subject to 250Mb per month). The handset will also be available from Orange in France and Romania in the forthcoming months.

OpenMoko FreeRunner UI Screenshots. Following on the previous OpenMoko Neo FreeRunner Available, Recently we’ve heard that Ars Technica has got their screenshots of the FreeRunner’s GTK-based Linux stack (om2007.2). Apple’s Webkit powers the FreeRunner’s browser, and a terminal application gives the user root-access to a BusyBox shell. There are a lot of similarities between om2007.2 and Nokia’s Maemo platform—both are based on GTK+ and use OpenedHand’s lightweight Matchbox window manager. OpenedHand also developed several other important pieces of the om2007.2 stack, including the personal information management suite, which is called Pimlico.
