Torch Mobile has released a new version ‘beta 2′ of its Apple WebKit based web browser for Windows Mobile devices, is reportedly more stable than the previous Iris Browser release.

Over 100 bugs and issues were fixed and the browser is more optimized since the last Beta release and is said to be incredibly fast and stable now. The focus of this release was entirely on performance, smaller footprint (10 % smaller than Beta 1), user interaction improvements and stability as well as page rendering improvements.

Instinct users will notice increased audio volume when using Bluetooth headsets/car kits, as well as improved stability of the phone’s signal and battery indicators. Web browser is also improved, there’s also an ability to set a saved image as the background wallpaper and recurring appointments are supported in the calendar. You’re already able to update your Samsung Instinct, go to Menu > Settings > General > choose ‘Update Phone’.
