AT&T expands Wi-Fi hotspot coverage to nearly 20,000 domestic hotspots. Following the previous Free WiFi HotSpots for iPhone from AT&T, AT&T announced that it has agreed, through one of its subsidiaries, to acquire privately-held Wayport, Inc., a leading provider of managed Wi-Fi services in the United States, for approximately $275 million in cash. The deal adds Wayport’s focused capabilities and enterprise customer portfolio with AT&T’s leading Internet Protocol (IP) and 3G networks, and broad consumer and business customer bases, to deliver enhanced broadband connectivity at home, in the office, on the road, and virtually anywhere in between. The acquisition expands the AT&T Wi-FiSM footprint to nearly 20,000 domestic hotspots, takes the company’s global Wi-Fi presence to more than 80,000 locations*, and creates thousands of new ways for customers worldwide to stay in touch. New Motorola 5 megapixel Kodak Cameraphone (ZN5? Another MotoZINE or PERLX?). A new 5 megapixel camera phone from Motorola with the Kodak lens was discovered by Boy Genius. LiveRadio - Internet Radio by Orange UK. Orange launches it’s Internet Radio called LiveRadio in UK. Orange will be selling its LiveRadio device, which connects to a home broadband line and allows consumers to listen to up to 4,000 internet radio stations and in addition to a wide range of podcasts and audio books. Recent figures from Rajar showed that about eight million people in Britain listen to internet radio stations at least once a week.

The mobile phone will be a quad-band (850/900/1800/1900Mhz) GSM radio, 2 megapixel camera, WiFi, and a 3.5mm headphone jack into the device. The internal display is reported to be a QVGA 240×320 jobby, while the external one display sports a 160×128 pixel resolution.
