Are you familar with iBowl by SGN - Bowling Game for iPhone using accelerometer? the company has launched another game, iBaseball, the third game in a series of Wii-like games for the iPhone. Like previous SGN games released for iPhone, iBaseball leverages the innovative accelerometer mobile technology platform for the iPhone to let baseball fans, sports and gaming enthusiasts practice their baseball pitches and hitting on-the-go.
Batter up! Play an inning against our team. First, use your curveball and fastball to strike three batters out. It’s easy to pitch in iBaseball, just select your pitch and then make a throwing motion with the iPhone. Then you’re up at bat. Various speed pitches will come at you. Swing your iphone like a bat and see how many hits you get.
iBaseball allows players to play an inning of baseball as the pitcher and a hitter. As a pitcher, players have the opportunity to pitch to three batters with a fastball or curveball. As a batter, players try for as many hits as possible in a single inning. The mobile game is compatible with iPhone and iPod touch, it requires iPhone 2.1 software update.

Sony Ericsson Mobile Gaming (turns phone’s camera into a motion-controlling sensor). Sony Ericsson has reportedly signed a deal with California-based GestureTek to bring the Wii-like gaming experience to camera-equipped Sony Ericsson phones, which don’t have an accelerometer built inside (like K850i, W910i models). The software, which is the same as currently used on Sony’s EyeToy device for the PlayStation 2, will work with new and old phones alike and will use the phone’s camera to sense movement.
